Need financial assistance with veterinary care?
Veterinary bills can get overwhelming and for many they can arrive at unexpected moments, such as emergency visits. Here are a few ways you can raise funds and/or apply for assistance with veterinary bills.
Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/Twitter
You can use your social media profiles to share your story and ask for donations towards veterinary care. Individuals can also send the money directly to the veterinarian that is treating the animal.
Start your own fundraiser on this website and share on your social platforms. It can be done in three easy steps!
-
Start Your Fundraiser - Set your fundraising goal, tell your story, add videos or pictures.
-
Share with Friends - Share your fundraiser via email, text or social media.
-
Manage Your Donations - View your donations in real time, thank your donors and withdraw funds.
CareCredit - www.carecredit.com
CareCredit is different from a regular credit card. It is used to pay for out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered by medical insurance. Special financing options are available that you may not be able to get with other cards.
You may pay for health and wellness care at over 250,000 enrolled providers across the nation! Once you have applied, you can use it multiple times at any participating locations.
Waggle is free and easy to do! You will need your veterinarian's contact information, your pets medical bill estimate and clear and compelling photos of your pet. How does it work? Your veterinarian sends Waggle your pet's invoice, and Waggle pays the animal hospital directly, providing safety and security for everyone involved.
Waggle reviews your case and posts approved campaigns on their Meet Pets in Crisis page. You can then start sharing the link to your pet's fundraiser with everyone you know via social media, text, and more!

Found and/or lost a pet in your area? These resources can help!
Did you find a lost or stray animal in your area? Perhaps you stumbled upon them while going about your day. Here are some helpful tips to finding a permanent home for the animal you found!
Facebook Groups
You can use your social media profiles to help animals get back home or find a new home. Sharing on as many Facebook Pet Rehoming groups will help you find an outcome for the animal you found and/or are rehoming.
Helpful Tips for Posts:
-
Found Animals: Be wary of fake owners commenting that it is their lost pet. Do not mention the animal's gender or special identifying marks. Let the possible owners share details that will confirm they are the true owners. Let possible owners know if you will be holding onto the animal or if the animal will be staying where you found them.
-
Lost Pets: State the area where your pet was lost or last seen. Provide a clear description of your pet and clarify if they were wearing a collar or specific clothing when lost.

Facebook Rehome GroupsRehoming a pet straight from your home to another home is always the best option for the pet whether this pet is your own personal pet or a pet you found . This prevents the pet from ever having to enter the shelter system, an experience that can be stressful to the pet and increase the risk of disease transmission. We’d first recommend reaching out to family and friends to see if anybody can take over the pets care, or to post clear photos/videos of them on Facebook in one of the groups listed below. These groups are filled with animal rescues, fosters, and potential adopters looking to add a new pet to their family. Any information you can provide about their character or behaviors (good with dogs, cats, kids, house trained) is important to share as well! These are the best options for this pet because they keep him or her out of the shelter setting, guarantee a live outcome, and limit the risk of them picking up diseases.
